General Comments:
1. Christian commitment of parents. (high priority)
2. Test results and academic records.
3. Interview of parents and often student.
4. Recommendations from pastor/Sunday School teacher, counselor/school teacher.
5. Families with currently enrolled children have priority.
6. Expression of a willingness to spend the necessary time supporting the children’s
efforts in their studies as stated in the Educational Objectives.
7. Commitment to the parents’ participation at the school (7 hours per week minimum).
8. Assessment of student’s skill level according to scores from previous school; since personnel are not trained in the areas of learning disabilities, students demonstrating needs in this area may not be admitted.
9. The level of participation by the parents (beyond the seven-hour minimum, i.e. teaching, etc.) could affect the acceptance of equally qualified students where class space is an issue.
10. Academic and social development of the child.
Non-Discriminatory Policy: Trace Academy admits students of any sex, race, color, or national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, and color or national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, or scholarship programs. Trace Academy does limit admission to students whose parents share its religious convictions as articulated in its statement of faith.
